Biography
Artist Statement
The theme of searching for connection and place is central in my work. Making art is my way of expressing what I cannot put into words. This began early on in my childhood. I have a vivid imagination, often picturing various characters and places. Being a shy and sensitive person, I learned how to observe deeply. I was searching, creating visual stories, always imaginative.
I am primarily an oil painter. My process starts with a vision or an emotion, creating like the waves of the ocean, flowing, ebbing. I prefer to use vivid colors, layers of thick oil paint, curves, and lines.
In my works, I immerse figures within their environments, as the human form is not separate from the environment, and environments influence how we connect and feel. As humans, we tend to manipulate our environments, creating and sadly, destroying.
I was born and raised in New York City, but moved to New Mexico in 2000, seeking refuge from the crowds and noise. In nature, I feel calm, and quiet.
I am primarily a figurative painter, but I also paint very abstract landscapes, both inner roadmaps, and external landscapes. I paint universal themes of human suffering, transcendence, connection, joy, isolation, and the soul. I paint what is hard to name, the ethereal, a gesture to convey emotion, the spiritual realm. Every piece is a part of my journey, conveying the many paths I have walked.
My works offer viewers a chance to imagine, question, and find meaning.

My process
I think it is vital for an artist to share their story, and how it connects to their work and process. My works are highly visceral, emotional, and intuitive. One might say that I am eccentric, and very introverted. I am also a woman who has had many struggles and many losses in my life. I was taught to be strong, to live fully, and I transform my struggles into unique beautiful works which delve deep into subjects that explore solitude, nature, life, death, time, and joy. Though I have struggled in my life, I will not be a victim. Personal losses and struggles have brought greater spiritual connection. My hope is that my art brings a sense of connectedness to those who might feel like they are outsiders or alone in their struggles. We must learn how to transform these challenges into gifts of beauty, strength, and resilience.

Why Purchase Art?
Why purchase Art?
Purchasing artwork is an investment! Why purchase art? In this world of digital prints, generic designs, and technology, a piece of artwork is physical. It's Human. It is unique. It adds richness to our lives. It stirs up and awakens our souls. And, it withstands the test of time. Each piece I create, is absolutely one of a kind. It speaks to you. It sparks excitement. Art is timeless. From the Old masters to Contemporary artists, their works age like fine wine. In this time of AI generated images, when you purchase a physical piece of art, you just feel the difference. You experience the textures, the colors, the soul, the emotions that are present in each piece. Unlike generic mass produced prints, you have a piece that no one else has, a work that speaks to you, a work that can be passed down through generations, sparking stories, memories, and leaving a human legacy that is immortal, and completely unlike anyone, or anything else.
My art is created from deep within my soul, yet it speaks to universal Human experiences and emotions.
I use only the best materials to paint. Each work is formed layer upon layer, using only high quality oil paints, mediums, and canvases. Each work is finished with protective lacquers. Each work is shipped with care.
